 Peggy VanBuskirk began her legal career with the national law firm of Thompson Hine LLP. and with the Cleveland-based law firm of Kahn, Kleinman. She also held the position of Vice President and General Counsel for a publicly-traded retail company with over 8,000 employees and had oversight responsibility for all legal matters affecting the company.
Prior to practicing law, Peggy was President of a retail business with primary responsibility for sales and marketing and human resource functions. Her growing desire to get into law led to a successful legal career, where her practice was devoted to public and private securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and general business law.

Before founding VANBUSKIRK LEGAL SEARCH, L.L.C. Peggy was affiliated with an executive search firm, where she held the position of Director, Legal Search Practice Group.

Peggy's law background provides her with in depth knowledge of the legal community. Her business background and entrepreneurial spirit provide her with a distinctive understanding of the ongoing needs of both corporate business clients, as well as law firms.

Peggy grew up in Pearl River, N.Y. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her B.A. in psychology, magna cum laude, from Cleveland State University. During law school, she won numerous awards, including the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts and Criminal Law and was Managing Editor of Law Review. She is a member of the American Bar Association. Peggy has four sons and volunteers with Hospice of the Western Reserve.
